Front Shock Leaking

Hi All

After blaming my wife for the oil leak on the drive I have now realised that is in fact coming from the front left shock on my e91.

Question is, Can I just replace one side, or do I need to do both sides and then as follow up should I buy shock and spring, or just the shock.

What brands should I look out for for OEM replacements?

Thanks in advance

Absolutely replace both sides no doubt.

You don't need new springs if they're in fine condition.

Might as well replace the top mounts and bump stops too while you're there.

Bilstein B4/Sachs are good OEM replacements

Using this link will tell you what the Sachs part numbers are, then you can search for them on ebay

https://aftermarket.zf.com/en/afterm...-by-vehicle/#/

Alternatively, use RealOEM to find the BMW part numbers, then put those into the search bar of Autodoc to find other suppliers part numbers for things like bump stops and top mounts.

Hope that helps
