Help telematic module
Hi
My car has this module "84109205892" Telematic installed, it is the bluetooth one, Does this have no way to connect USB? Can you retrofit to another one with USB? Thank you |

Only for phone
That module is only for telephone. To get USB connectivity, you would need to add a MULF or MULF2 module to that one. Or, you could replace both with a COMBOX, which handles both telephone and USB interfaces.
I have two E90's. One, a 2007 only came with the box you have. The second, a 2008 had this plus the MULF2 and was shipped with the 6FL "USB connectivity" option from the factory. I was able to replace both with a COMBOX, but had to upgrade to the CIC factory radio for it to work. COMBOX came out in 2009 I think, so it won't work with earlier factory stereo options, you have to replace all of it. But if you do it works like a charm. AD2P Bluetooth audio streaming, NAV map updates from USB stick, music libraries on USB, voice control, even text messages in the NAV screen. Here is the lexicon I followed, to give you a glimpse of this project. |
