Unusual audio issue. No sound on FM radio, please help!

I have been trying to diagnose an audio issue in my 2010 bmw e90. For some reason i get no sound from FM radio. It appears to have a radio signal, but no sound. I do have gong sounds, and the aux port seems to work, although the quality is poor - probably due to a bad aux cable. I do not have an SOS error. I have plugged in my laptop with ISTA and there are no issues with the MOST loop, or any other error codes showing up. The car has pro nav, standard audio and it has the TCU for BMW assist. It does not have a MULF, amp or a USB port but does have an aux port. I am pretty stumped as to what the issue could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this issue? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How have you determined you have a Radio signal if you have
no sound?
If you have the base system there is no amp involved .
Sounds like the turner if you really know you have a signal .
There is a maintenance mode that might tell you some stuff
there are ytube video's on how to access it.
Aux is noted to be poor quality by it's very design.

Ill look into this maintenance mode, thanks. Im pretty sure it has an FM signal because if i tune into a frequency it automatically picks up the name of the station, however I suppose this doesn't necessarily mean theres a signal. If there is no signal though i would have expected to at least get the standard static noise you get with no radio signal.

Is this the unit that came with the car or is it something you tried to
retrofit? The frequency range of the Radio's is programmable by
continental regions.

The radio came with the car, and was specced from factory however is not the original unit, as the previous owner replaced it after it was stolen.

I have coded the radio to defaults already, because it wasn't coded before. Maybe i need to do the region manually?

I have checked if the radio country is set correctly, and it is set to Europe as it should be. Do you or anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Heres a photo of my idrive screen on the radio page. I think it just doesn't have a radio signal since its not sourcing many stations and the ones which are there come and go. I dont hear anything come through on any of the stations. Any ideas what could cause this? Thanks

Hello BrodieH, hello everyone

I have EXACTLY the same problem on my 2009 E92 (european version). Your message is 3 years old, but I'll take a chance, if you happen to drop by again or get a notification, I'd be very happy to hear how you managed to solve your problem. I don't know how to "code" and I don't understand what "iboc" means. Could you help me?
Thank you very much.
