Proud granddad moment
We were taking our ~2 1/2 year old granddaughter to the zoo the other day. I went around a nice, sweeping 90º curve rather briskly, as is my m.o.. From the back seat I hear "Weeeeeeeeee!" I started chuckling and my wife says "Don't encourage him!" I was so proud of my little, little (her mother is my little) girl! The week before I did a similar thing and she said "Wow, dude!"
I understand this grandparent thing. I get to do all the things I couldn't do with my own kids since I was busy putting food on the table and keeping the roof over our heads. Shift work didn't help. |

You get to spoil them, feed them loads of sugar, then send them home with their parents to deal with the ramifications.
No direct grandkids, but plenty of grand-niece/nephews. First trick I teach them is to stick out their tongue!
