Individual audio downgrade

Hi all, I have 2009 325d E90 with individual audio. Only front tweeters, front right door speaker and rear door speaker working, front passenger door speaker is sometimes working but with crackling. I bought the car this way and suspect water damage to the amplifier. I have took the amplifier to the audio repair shop, paid for inspection and repair, but still waiting (amplifier given to the shop in August 2021 ). I just had enough of waiting and want to downgrade to anything working at this point. There is a car for breaking close to me with Hi-Fi audio. What would I need to change to downgrade to Hi-Fi?

The car has 663 Radio Bmw Professional and 752 Individual Audio system.

Thank you

Downgrading to hifi is next to impossible without changing the wiring of the whole interior.

You can however downgrade to logic 7; Its plug and play but you need to swap all the speakers/amp/subs and some coding.

Edit: I do have a complete logic 7 system if you would be interested in swapping

Is there a troubleshooting guide to check is it the amp, or all the speakers are gone. I had a look at the amp and everything looks ok. What is the best way to test everything?

Can I replace amp with a different aftermarket amp?

I am thinking of sourcing the whole Hi-Fi system and upgrade from there as I just want to be able to listen music in the car again.

There's no way for you to test the amp (unless you're an expert with the proper audio tools) unless you just plug in another logic 7 or individual audio amp (both are the fiber optic version).

Hifi will require rewiring all the speakers/subs/amp as its digital fed vs the logic 7 or individual amp which is fiber optic.

An aftermarket amp won't work without re-wiring; a logic 7 amp will but due to different resistance you will likely ruin your current speakers shortly.

You may also be able to use the Individual Amp out of an E60/E63 (5 and 6 series). They should be compatible and just need coding.

Also, you can probably get your amp rebuilt by Harman/Becker.

Downgrading to Logic 7 would be easy but to hifi would be difficult and will sound like crap.

EPS amps aren't that hard to find so if you're sure the problem is not in the head unit, I'd just get a used EPS amp. Otherwise get a full L7 (which sounds way better than EPS IMO)

Actually Mobridge is making a logic 7 compatible amp and it
has good specs to. Yes it uses Most Input.
It ain't cheap though.

I will try to test the speakers this weekend, but I am not even sure that is the right amp in the car as maybe the previous owner changed it? How can I determine it is the right amp? This is what the amp in the car looks like.

I would love to hear more on this. My amp was in about an inch of water due to a tailight seal going. The brand new replacement is alot so I'm trying to find the easiest replacement just to get audio back in the car.

There are tons of used EPS amps on eBay, that will be the easiest and cheapest route to go. They run more than L7 amps but it's literally 5 minutes and you're back in business
