E90 Misfire 1,2,3,5; Multiple Misfire
Hello Everyone!
So; I am new to BMWs (I have been driving and working on Hondas all my life). My younger brother has an E90 328xi. It is completely stock, and has no tune. It has been throwing misfire codes for half of the cylinders in the motor. My stepdad has been throwing parts at it (with me installing all the parts), and it is still unclear what the issue could be. Here is a list of all the items that have been replaced so far: -New CAS -New MAF -New VANOS -New plugs, injectors, and coils (only the 4 coils have been replaced for the misfiring cylinders, but all 6 plugs and injectors are new). It is having some trouble starting (some of the time; single click, no crank when trying to start). It will crank and start when the engine has been sitting for a while (cool), but while hot it only gets the single click with no crank. The misfire is the main issue with the engine running super rough (pretty much jumping most times). The ground from the motor to the frame is fine, battery is in good shape (all connections are secured and the battery is putting out ample power for operation), I am assuming the starting solenoid is okay (due to its cranking and starting on occasion), and the fuses have been checked and replaced (if needed to be). The car currently has 113K on it and was fairly well maintained by the previous owner. It has 5 P0300 that will not clear (300,301,302,303,305), as well as a p0201. Any suggestions? Thanks, Bryson Last edited by Btoe90; 06-20-2024 at 05:15 PM.. |
