Exclamation Tip for e93 owners, you CAN easily open your windows without opening your roof.

So as all e93 owners know, you can easily open your roof and windows by holding the remote open button. Great! But what if you only want to open your windows and not the roof? Pretty hard, you'll have to really time your button release and might have unlocked the roof by then (bad).

So by accident today I found a feature that is mentioned nowhere in the manual! It's actually quite simple once you know it.

Click open, then click and hold the open again, but once the windows start to move down, release.

The windows will all fully open, but the roof won't move at all!

Perfect! Wish I knew this sooner and wanted to share it with other e93 owners. Happy venting!

The roof opening might be, but then if you don't have comfort access I'm pretty sure you can still open your windows with the key anyway?

I was trying to get this to work on my e88 (128i vert.) which is basically the same car and the e90 posts and e88 posts were all saying you can no longer use programing to make this happen

I'm not sure what you're saying. It (as in, my first post) should be a stock feature, I didn't code anything for it.

Hmm.. That would be pretty nice. I don't have comfort access so I will have to try this later today.

Without comfort access you can always hold the open button to open all windows, that's a standard feature. This what I found out is just to open the windows but NOT the roof.
