Car vibrates at certain speed under load.... if air con is on

Yep... very weird.

I've been chasing this vibration for a while when I'm accelerating at 20mpg and between 50 and 60 mph.

I noticed the vibration was worse when the air con was on... so checked the battery and found it needed a change.

The vibration at 20 was resolved with a new battery... the vibration between 50 and 60 is nearly gone after the battery changed... sorta.

.... I'm just wondering why? Could it just be that there is not enough gas and the compressor and is drawing too much power? Its hard to believe that...

Sparks? Coils? Could they be the reason and the air con just be the twig that breaks the camels back under load?

Cheers in advance.

Sounds like engine mounts issue. Curious to know hear from experts for my future reference

What happens when you're stop at a red light/stop? Does it vibrate when you're at D then it stops when you set it to N (neutral)? If so, this was the sign that it was engine mounts for me

Car idles perfectly, drives perfectly smooth under all other conditions. Gearbox and engine mounts are all good (gearbox was serviced). The problem seems to be ignition related because of how the new battery seemed to fix much of the issues.

Thank you for response.

I honestly don't know so I got curious played with your info on ChatGPT lol. It said it's likely due to one or more of your spark plugs or ignition coils gone bad. It may be your A/C Compressor also apparently especially if you heard any noise and AC works weird

good luck kale

Does the front/back shake? Does the steering wheel shake? Is it accompanied by sound or only vibration?
Do you feel its RPM/engine load based or based on speed?
Does it get worse while braking
Does the vibration disappear above 60-70 mph?
What engine is it anyway, on the n52 the AC compressor is always spinning, the load is controlled inside it.
Could be wheel balancing, could be bad mounts, could be driveshaft. Be more specific please
