I was changing my spark plugs on my E93 335i with the N55 engine and when I went to remove the strut tower brace center bolt, I noticed this hose was torn. Almost looks like the bolt squished it when it was last tightened down. Anyone know what this hose is? I’m guessing it’s a washer fluid hose but what’s with the copper wire in there?

Power cable to the wiper motor. You can see the tape that was holding it has broken away (common) and it got wedged underneath that center bolt for the strut brace bar. Common for this to happen and then to experience wiper issues.

ah okay. Thanks for the help! So far no issues with the wipers but I will definitely get it checked out in the future (hopefully before any issues occur)
