Does anyone know if BMW fixed this LCD issue, or will all units eventually succumb to having scrambled LCD screens? My car is a 2009 and has the issue so I'm assuming it wasn't rectified until the LCI, if at all.
This is one of the last issues my car has. It's minor so I've not put too much thought into it until now but it does bug me. Replacement screens seem to be hard to find now and upgrading to one of the newer LCI units is quite expensive as all the ones with the updated 65129350507 part number are selling for £300+. I've also considered buying a random professional unit from an LCI car and swapping the LCD into my pre-LCI unit but I don't know if that will work. |

Bumping this thread.
None of the companies in previous responses are still in business and/or responding to my emails. Has anyone replaced their faded pixel display recently ? Part still available? Any current LCD display replacement services ? Thanks for any help ! |

I think Aliexpress is the answer.
That's where I got the one I used recently. Looks like there are a few sellers on there, but here's the one I used: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804146431599.html |

Thread Bump
I'm trying to find an LCD replacement for my 2010 E91 328xi. The radio part # is 6512 9226398-01 and it appears the model # is BMWRCD 205-12. Does anyone have a source on these? It is the Czech made radio or in this case, checkmate radio. Last edited by jbellk75rt; 07-01-2024 at 04:48 PM.. |
