Stripped crank hub bolts

So my 08 335xi ate a belt and im taking the crank off checking for any belt in the seal and also going to install the crank guard, but before I can get to that, i have managed to get out 2 out of the 6 e10 bolts and Im 99% sure the other 4 are stripped, what would be the best way about getting them out? taking off the whole front and getting a bolt extraction tool? Ive only seen one other post where a individual also had a stripped bolt but got it off by hamming the socket onto it which didn’t work in my situation, and help is much appreciated

you mean the bolt head is chewed up? extractors, would probably be first item, make sure they are cut so it digs into the head when trying to loosen, but also add some heat from a propane torch, you want to relieve the torque.

if i had to take off front end, i'd probably try weld9ing a nut onto what's left and seeing if i can't give it one last ditch effort without having to drill, crank hubs are expensive if you oops it.

How did they get stripped? Are you using the proper e10 socket?
