Leaking coolant from the block

Me and my buddy both have 335d and we have both been leaking coolant. I checked both of our engines for signs of where it could be leaking from and we both had similar issues. There seems to be a plug in the block of the engine mine was loose and all I had to do was push it back in. My buddy’s car on the other hand the plug was completely missing? Is there a part number for this or…
Thanks

You shouldn't be leaking coolant from that hole. That hole is used to lock the flywheel, for example, when changing your vibration damper...it goes into the bellhousing. Also, the coolant should be blue, not green, possibly part of your problem depending on how long it's been in there. There is a plug for it (mine's long gone) but I don't think it's going to solve your underlying issue. Good luck figuring it out...

Well, not 100% sure but that would lead me in the direction of something cracked in the back of the engine (head, block, head gasket). You might be able to manipulate a tiny borescope up there to see the source. Compression test (diesel gauges) might confirm, or rule out head and head gasket. I'm still getting ripe with these rigs so they're might be some coolant hardline I'm unaware of back there, but the fact it's coming out of that hole makes me think it's leaking into your bellhousing, trickling down the back (or being flung) and coming out through that hole...

Or...the leak isn't coming from that hole, it looks like there is a bit of coolant on an allen head bolt above that, hopefully just a cracked line above there somewhere...

It's the coolant flange. Common problem. Pull the intake manifold and replace it. Easy peasey.
