CF17 on a GM6 GS1912 Transmission/EGS module
Hey Guys,
I've had my car for 8 years and have been able to diagnose and fix every problem on my car ('08 328i e92) using my Foxwell scanner. I recently downloaded inpa to reset my FRM short circuit counter and decided to tackle this CF17 code I had since 2017. When reading the error memory I get no info at all. Only CF17 (picture included). When I move to information memory I get this 57C3 code (picture included when car is in accessory mode). When the car is on, the trans input speed reads at 700 but output speed reads at 100. The funny thing is that the ATF temp is at -8211 C but when I use my foxwell scanner I do get an actal reading of the ATF temp. My questions are: Is the CF17 code caused by the 57C3 Code? What does Cruise control have to do with this. Is it relating to the Transmission speed sensor? I've done an adaptation reset and the car drives fine but it jerks every now and then. (I recently had my ATF and filter replaced so maybe I need to check the ATF level). I know the fault doesn't cause a check engine light but my OCD would kill me. |

Update: checked atf temp, gear selector, input and output speed with my foxwell scanner and they were all reading fine when idle and driving. I also checked trans mechatronic sleeve and there was no leaks. Must be a can bus communication error at the JBBF/ECU level. At this point I’m pointing my finger at the JBBF itself and would not be worrying about it lol. If anyone figures it out, please leave a comment
