Exhaust for 2009 328i convertible
I can’t seem to find a good exhaust that fits my car that I wouldn’t have to pay over 1k for. Im a broke 17 year old and I don’t know anything about exhaust what should I get? Is a muffler and resonator delete going to sound good? I’ve been recommended that by multiple people. Or can I just get a different muffler or resonator what will make my car sound decent?

Yeah, cheapest option would probably be putting a straight pipe in place of the muffler. There are probably youtube videos showing how that sounds. But it would be better to hear it in person. You might even be able to do it yourself by buying the straight pipe and using clamps, but you'll need to figure out how to hang it.

Don't straight pipe, it will sound like garbage. Best budget option is probably an axleback from ebay or to get something welded in like a magnaflow muffler.

I'm talking about just replacing the muffler with a pipe (muffler delete). Cheapest option possible I think. It doesn't sound great, but doesn't sound terrible either. I found this video where you can hear how it sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaMZp49x7io
I think it starts to sound like ass when you remove the resonators too, which is the second car in that video. PS: I have a magnaflow catback on my car and think it sounds awesome, so that would be what I would ultimately recommend. |
