What is this wire hanging from my car?

Amb temp sensor maybe? When i feel around it seems to come directly from the back of the radiator grill. Just wanna know its not anything major. If its the temp sensor ill just ziptie it somewhere. Thanks in advance yall!

The temp sensor harness runs along the bumper underneath the bumper cover. If the temp sensor was disconnected by a broken harness, the temp readout defaults to -40 deg.

You should scan the car with a BMW scan tool to look for fault codes that will lead you to what electrical component is not operating. It looks like a rodent chewed through the wire.
