B58/DCT swapped 330d E92 project

I’m nearing the final stages and thought I’d make as start of documenting my B58 swapped E92.

This is my first engine swap and done on my driveway. The most challenge parts of the swap was the engine mounts and setting up an ECUMASTER ADU7 to talk to both the car and and the SCS Delta GDI6 standalone ECU. The Canformance CANTCU was smooth as much to use setup.

The engine supports from the M240i did not fit which I knew looking at the subframes so I designed my own with some guidance from another B58 swapped owner(E36). I used carboard, MDF and finally fabricated into steel yesterday and fitted. I’ve taken it for its first drive yesterday.

What an incredible feat!

Those who don't wish to retire their E9x once their engine needs rebuilding can look to greener pastures.

Any idea if and when you'll do a write up on this project? Im looking forward to swapping my E92 the same way.
