JKVK & HZ Racing Parts Headers

Hey everyone, I recently bought myself an e92 328i a few months ago with the N51. I was looking around for some alternative header options to AA, and came across a couple of people running these two options from Ali Express:

JKVK: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...d=V0wXHnLx6a04

HZ Racing Parts: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...d=90mDbj0vdZuN

Heard that these are basically identical to the AA and roundel werk headers but haven't seen much other information on them. Has anybody installed either of these on their car?

If you're dealing with a non-German car, this may be worth a try, but as for BMW's I'll never elect to buy Chinese knock-offs and expect them to perform. On top of that, you'll likely be dealing with those ever-so-slightly-off fitment issues to where you'll need to modify a few hole locations and what-not. At least through my earlier years that's what I've experienced with Chinese parts. Back in the Mitsubishi and Nissan days of my life, some of those headers come with only one O2 bung even though the ad says two. Anyway, it took me 3-4 cars to come to a complete stop of ordering the Chinese headers. Only way you should buy, even if they are made in China, are those shouldered by a reputable brand that we know here. At least with a middle-man brand, you'll better get some sort of replacement warranty in place in case things go south. As with Aliexpress, once you get a toad, good luck trying to get even with the seller. Lots of those folks are just 3rd class welders making these out of a shed in an alley, and they will be very dodgy once you start complaining about any issues of their work.

I have HZ Racing headers and they fit perfectly, just make sure you get the ones with the O2 sensors in the right location.

Will never understand why people pay 4x the amount for AA headers when they're literally the same exact thing as the aliexpress ones lol.

Completely agree. I've been running HZ headers for two years now and no problems.

Even funnier when people buy Roundel ones who were just drop shipping off AliExpress

I must say that having not visited the N52's performance forums for nearly 8 years; on my return only to find the playground has really changed. Back in 2010-2013 when I was really getting into it, AA was pretty much the only go-to solution without quality issues. Didn't know the newer Chinese crap has taken such a change. You guys won. LOL.

Can you post some pics of the HZ headers? Specifically the welds and inside of the collector?

Has anyone tried these headers out?? From a company call flasharkracing.com, they’re priced pretty good but just wanted to see if anyone on here has installed them.
