Coding replacement DSC module
Hey everyone
Trying to get ready to replace a faulty DSC module in my car. Was diagnosed by a shop, they told me to order the part and they'd do it for $400. Hoping to do it myself instead. Have found plenty of guides on how to do the actual replacement but everyone seems to reuse the DSC module and just replace the pump. I need to do both, so that means I need to code the DSC to my car. Is this as simple as just reading it in NCSExpert and changing the VIN? Am I stupid for thinking I could just read the data from my existing DSC module with NCSExpert, save that data. Replace the module and then write the data from my original module to the new replaced one? $400 isn't a huge expense but would be fun to learn more about this myself. I have the normal DSC/ABS issues of DSC lights, ABS lights, no speedometer, no fuel economy gauge, mileage not updating, wheel pressure light, and fuel gauge moving crazy when making turns. Was diagnosed by what I would consider a reputable shop so I do trust it and it does seem in line with posted experiences here. I don't mind trying to record a video of this being done too if people in the future could use it to help them, just want to make sure I do it right |

If I recall correctly you may need to program, code and then perform calibration/ initialization.
