Seized RR brake caliper

I'm in Canada and 2 years ago I imported a 2006 330xiT 6MT from Germany. It's been flawless these 2 years.
Coming home from work few days ago, I hear a squealing noise from RR. At home, RR wheel very hot [LR not hot]. New pads, rotor looked OK and after testing caliper with blocks of wood [to simulate rotor and pads] my mechanic felt caliper was OK. Road test of about 2-3 kms and LR measured 26º whereas RR was 74.4º. NOTE: I'm measuring heat temperature of rotor using an inexpensive Digital Infared Thermometer.
Replace caliper and do 3 different time heat readings: FIRST LR31º, RR28º. About 2-3 kms, SECOND LR30º, RR31º, another 2-3 kms THIRD LR34º, RR34º.

The cheap Digital Infrared Thermometer was critical in getting this job done well.
