I have a 09 e90 335i with about 150k.
Took it to 2 shops and I have the 4F82 & 4F85 codes. When i look up the 4F85 code it says an option is to change my input shaft bushings as the input shaft itself probably wont need to be replaced. .. can anyone tell me if this is a job that can be completed without removing the transmission? Or will it need to come out all together to replace the bushings? As for the 4F82 code after a lil research it seems just swapping my mechatronic solenoids and gaskets that go along with that system should do the trick. The problem my car is having: if i drive the car in manual and almost like a grandma i can pretty much go without any issues.. driving it for about 30min to an hour at most each time. But once i try to go fast or make use of the full gear and ride my rpms a lil over 3k i will get a surge in rpms then my trans goes in to limp mode until i turn it off and back on. anyone else have these codes and just swapped solenoids and that worked? I have a new solenoid set and all 5 of those special gaskets for the mechatronic/trans mating. Someone please help me… i live in Northern VA not to far from tysons corner mall if anyone is local and knows of a shop or someone who does good work..trying to keep this car forever. Thanks! |
