Are there any post-accident failsafes?

Car was in frontal accident. Both front airbags deployed. I charged up the battery, but the car does not turn on, show any signs of power, nor reacts to the key (with comfort access).

Are the any failsafes that completely cut power when a car is in accident? Any advice?

Yup, battery safety terminal blows.

It is it attached to the + battery terminal.
It deploys because the 12V, thick wire running from the battery to the starter/alternator is not fused.
IE: possible fire during an accident.
IE: no power to starter.

I have used BST cables from Amazon with success.

JUST RE-READ YOUR OP

The BST cuts power to the starter, but you still have functions of everything else.
IE: ACC mode, lights etc. etc.

Thank you. Wonder why no power to the rest of the car.

Noticed some water in the rear passenger footwells. Are there any electronics hidden under the carpet that may may short and cause this?

None that would cause a whole electrical shut down.
Are you sure the battery held charge?
I suspect the battery is too weak to do anything.

It was a BTS. It blew up at the accident. Replaced and everything worked.
