Part Nos. - 51628044188 & 51622159805 (rear deck spoiler)

Hi to all,

I drive a BMW e92 320i (VIN E492434). I wanted to install a rear boot spoiler. There are two choices. One bearing Part no. - 51628044188 and the other is Part no. - 51622159805. Which one is the better of the two in terms of fitment and quality ?
I am particularly interested in the one bearing Part No. - 51622159805.
Does anyone have any idea whether it can be installed in a 320i ? How is the fit and finish ? What can be used for sticking it there on the boot permanently so that it stays there stable and is not messed up ? Do not prefer drilling. Any other alternative preferred. Please suggest.

Many thanks in advance.
Regards
Dewan

Seems like BMW uses an Adhesive tape to mount these originally, the part number for it is 51628044186

Any idea which one of the two is better in quality and fitment ? Part no. - 51628044188 OR Part no. - 51622159805 ? I wanted to make sure before I can place my order.

If both of these parts are OEM they should be the same in terms of build quality and fitment, so I guess its just personal preference.

Actually part no. 51622159805 is NOT the OEM. The other one is. So you suggest to go for the OEM ?

I went with an M3 style carbon fiber lip, it’s clean and not too distracting like other variations.

Perhaps we are getting into semantics of whether OEM means "original BMW part" or "period correct option for a particular model."

Regardless, they are both BMW part numbers, therefore they are both OE BMW parts. Either will fit any E92 trunk lid. Get whichever you prefer.

The fit and finish on the OEM part will be better than on the cheap chinese one made to look like an OE part , but I agree that the smaller one is more tasteful if you want to keep the car looking stock, the bigger wing on a 4cyl is pure rice

The Part No. - 51628044188 is listed for sale/orders in the realoem website. However, Part no. - 51622159805 is not featured in the realoem. I found it in a German tuning company website. So do you think it is BMW OEM or is it a part number for a product of that tuning company ?

805 is a BMW part. It's a "performance" part though, so won't appear in realoem in the same place as the stock one. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...q=51622159805+
