Hi,
I’m very new to this and am attempting to Virginize a gauge cluster from an e9x via an R270+. I found it quite difficult to work out which way to connect the wires from the R270 board to the test clip but after some messing around I managed to get my laptop to read the eeprom. My problem is that every reading just says 00 there are no numbers at all. I’m very frustrated with it all. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

I had a friend solder that for me. It looks good and, as I said, it’s definitely been reading the chip but……….. I have ‘continuity’ between 6 of the 8 pins he soldered. This doesn’t seem right??

I have yes, was definitely worth watching again though. Thx.
I have removed the resistor and am still having the same problems. I’m thinking my ‘red board’ is probably duff. Well, that or the new cluster. Will remove my own cluster from my car next and see if it reads that chip. Cheers |

With the r270? I can read my chip but I just get all zeros.
I reinstalled the software tonight as an administrator and now can see the pictures of the various chips but still all just zeros. |
