Thanks cause $350 is really hard to stomach when they were $60 and for other cars they used to be under $30.

Amd you can get TESA tape at Lowe’s or Home Depot. They have it there.

I used it to do my city lights on the e46it, amd the aux/driving lights on my r53 harness. Amd the boost guage wiring on the sons r53 JCW.

Hey all, the happy/hungry robot mod is still going strong! I just did it this afternoon.
I purchased the cover piece off of Ali Express for $45.
Color is a little bit off, but it's fine. Quality is great IMO.
I bought some plugs from Amazon for another $10.
I had some T connectors on hand that I tapped into the existing wiring, and just like that, I have some accessory outlets for the back seat. There is a 95% chance they will never get used, but they're there for that 5%!!!

I just finished up this conversion as well

I used the same sockets above as StradaRedlands but I removed the plastic covers so the sockets slide in without having to modify the holes in the cover. I had to use a bit of epoxy on the backside to hold them in place. I also used a set of flush mount USB cigarette adapters to finish it off. They do light when powered:
