18" offset question
Hi everyone
First post and also new owner to an e92 335i 2007 I've searched and found a lot of info on offset and side So far the ideal info I've found is: FRONT - 18x8.5 - 235/4018 ET30 REAR - 18x9.5 - 255/35/18 ET25 I have found a set of vmr v710 similar but offset are 35 front and 22 rear Will I get into any issues of running? Will be also for coil overs and lowering a bit (not slamming) 2nd questions is I do plan to track the car and I know there is a form-flow version of this rim. I'm not concern about weight but more so strength. Would the regular cast rims v710 be fine for track or should I look at form flow to forged for tracking? Thanks for the info advance and sorry if I'm repeat anything that's already been post |

I would recommend something along these lines as an alternative: Front: 18x8.5" ET35 or ET38 with 235/40-18 tires Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 with 265/35-18 tires
You can run an 18x9.5" ET22 in the rear on these cars and while it will be a more flush fitment compared to an 18x9.5" ET35, you will typically have to roll your fenders to fit a 265/35-18 tire. The 18x9.5" ET35 gives you a bit more fender clearance to run a more aggressive tire without further modifying the car. Even with coilovers and a mild to moderate drop in ride height, this setup will typically be a direct fit on a Pre-LCI E92. While I cannot speak to the VMR wheels specifically, I can share that our Flow Formed wheels are designed and tested with regular track use in mind. Hope this helps! Similar question here - having trouble with offsets.
I'm getting new wheels for my 2009 E93, either 18x8 or 18x8.5 (I know, not exactly pushing the envelope here) - seems like "Standard" offset is mid-thirties, and as wheels get wider, the offset goes down, is that right? Should I be looking for 35-38 offset for these size wheels? I found a set of nice style 270M's, but they are 22 offset - that is too low, and might have issues with brake clearance, right? Thank you! |

Hi dude, car looks awesome can you please just let me know if you have any rubbing at rear fenders when loaded with passengers or any time ? If you put some closer pictures of the clearance at he rear that would be amazing. Thank you

Question on offset
Sorry to dig up an old thread but I wanted to see if you guys could help out with question on Apex EC-7 wheels.
I have been researching for a good month and have learned a lot about wheel fitments and offsets. I have decided to go with a staggered set up. I want to run 235/40 in the front and 265/35 in the rear. I have rear offsets picked out at 18X9.5" ET35 like the OP's white E92. The fronts I am wondering what would be better, look better and or handle better while running 235/40 sized tires up front. Would 18X8.5" ET 35 or would 18X9" ET31 be best in the front??? I want to run Michelin PS4 tires. Car is all stock at the moment with 189 style wheels from factory. Thanks~ |
