18x9 et35 square setup? Alzor 030
I have searched but I cannot find a firm answer. Will 18x9 et35 square setup work on a e90, stock sport suspension, pre lci? I am looking at the alzor 030 18x9 square running dws 245/40/18. I appreciate any response.

I just googled "18x9.5 square site:www.e90post.com" and 13,700 results in .44 seconds are at my fingertips. I've got 3 different threads that I personally started in the past 60 days on the subject... one of which was 3 topics below yours and completely answers your question: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1052777 Up front I initially had a 5mm spacer, so ET30 18x9.5 up front (switched to 3mm after realizing that I basically didn't need a spacer at all). I didn't need to roll fenders, I'm lowered on Performance suspension, and I'm using 265/35 tires. You can run my setup with the 3mm spacers (ET32) at -1.8 camber and there's no rubbing, ever, at all, with a 265/35. You'll be very safe. You're considering 245's on 9.5" width with stock suspension on a pre-lci, so you're like triple stamped to have no issue. The tire stretch and size won't fill the giant wheel well or cover the wide wheels... you'll probably regret going with a 245 on a 9.5". But as to your question, yes 245 on 18x9.5 ET35 will work/fit. When you see/read the comparisons, just remember: Stock suspension= much more room than lowered folks. Pre-LCI= 8mm more per side rear than LCI... i.e., more room than anyone. pre-lci is basically never challenged on the rear fenders, unless you're getting into some seriously low ET's. |

Ooops... I thought it said 18x9.5 ET35. All the more reason to say yes, no problem, not even close to being an issue. I also was thinking (thought I saw) 245/35, not 245/40. Even still, not aggressive by any means.
Before going with Alzor, though, I would most definitely go with Avant Garde M359. Stronger, better wheel all around, looks better in person (concave/quality) and they have a warranty. I had the 19" (see my sig) until a week ago yesterday and they're replacing one that's a year old because it had a very slow leak develop (a pinhole). |

What's the point of running a 9 up front if you're only gonna run a 245? I have 255/35/18 all around in 18x8.5 et35 on kw v3. I have 5mm spacer up front to make the tire clear the strut/spring and 15mm in the rear to make it a little more flush. Slight roll in the back. hope that helps. u will have plenty of room if you switch to suspension setup with linear springs up front.

but if that's the goal what's the point of running square? if you're going for looks you might as well just run a staggered wheel setup and get more width for more concavity in the rear as well. theres really no point on running a square setup other than for handling and getting more front grip

How the car sits (note, it might settle a bit from here, but not much. I had been driving and hit some pretty nasty stuff in the road so they should mostly be settled...this was with the new suspension installed): The one thing that really had no answers was clearance. So I messed around with different spacers in front to ensure there was room. 5mm was a bit too much clearance but filled out the fender well in the front and maybe stuck out a little bit. I removed them and installed the wheel and it was really close but not rubbing. Here's where I settled: 3mm spacers in front (none in back). The photos show there is plenty of strut clearance and I probably could have ran them without and spacers but I'm gonna stick with this setup for now. The other thing that has been debated is if a real BMW center cap (or knock off) can fit the Alzor rims instead of using the sticker. I took a gamble on some AliExp. 68mm BMW caps and they fit PERFECT. So, no stickers here: I hope this can help some people in the future. |
