335d fuel filter change interval?

I heard 25k miles and every oil change or every other. How often should I change the fuel filter in the 2011 335d ? And what one should I buy.

I'll never understand people changing fuel filters every oil change or even every other.

30-40k miles. OEM/Mann/Mahle will all do the job.

For 335d, Kayser AK10X7 is another decent quality option

Older TDI’s used to use filters that had a petcock, so you could check for water between service intervals.

Our cartridge doesn’t have that, so I change mine every 10k and shoot for station with traffic and quality fuel.

How old you talkin? My 2002 Golf ALH did not have that. I built a custom fuel filter setup that utilized a water/fuel separator filter but it def wasn't OEM.

Weird, every ALH I've seen had the drain at the bottom of the fuel filter. All of the ones I maintained did (99.5, 01, 03)

Ah you're right, they had it. It was one of the first things I changed to was an aftermarket spin on kit and that was back in like 2015. Had to go back and check my old documents/images of the swap. Never had it in long enough to use it
