I still have my D, but it sits in my garage 99% of the time with a maintenance charger on it. I was ready to upgrade, and needed a truck, but did not want to go backwards in power/handling.

I got a Rivian R1T. WOW! Just wow.

I forgot about this. It was 8 years ago. I run oversized tires now and need to do an adjustment. I have 255/40R18 now so tires are 4% bigger diameter than prior 255/35R18. The weird thing is mileage is now coming in lower because the car thinks I’m going shorter distance due to less rotations of wheel.

Back to your questions, I hadn’t done anything so you’re ahead of me on this adjustment. I’ll get back to you all on this.

I mean your larger wheel makes sense that the car miles are reading lower.

I currently have 245/40 R18 and my mileage on the car vs actual is about 3.5% low.

I know this thread originally has you track the actual mpg vs mpg shown on the car, but really all we need to know is how far off the odometer is correct?

Can't this be averaged by a couple trips of GPS distance traveled vs what the car says you traveled? Then there's no reason to calculate the actual mpg and you can apply the correction factor...

But I guess my other question is, does this correction factor adjust the odometer as well? Because currently, the odo and trip miles match (which makes sense, they have to be tied together) Or does this ONLY deal with the trip miles and my ODO is going to be lower than it should?

I've corrected both the speedo calibrations (digital and needle) via the spreadsheet and they are now within 1 mph of actual speed, but I know the odo isn't tied to the speedo in our cases.
