performance shocks that can be used at stock height & use lowering springs in future

Hello,

My rear shocks on my 2008 325i are gone. I was looking to change to some performance shocks. Was thinking of bilstein b14 coilovers as ideal at first, but read that the heighest setting is still too low. Where I am from roads are not suited to that height on a regular basis. Is there any good not too pricey shock options I can use with stock springs and height and later on lower a little bit with lowering springs? Adjustable shocks that start from 0 lowering range or non adjustable ones that can work with stock height as well as a bit lowered. A bit tight on the budget for now so just good shocks for now and lowering springs later is the thought.

Saw the suspension guide thread and couldnt see any that start the lowering range from 0.

Help appreciated
Thanks.

If you want rebound adjustable, Koni Yellow
If you want preset damping, Koni Orange

I've used both and both work well.

Do they work good with stock standard springs as well as lowering springs without problems?

Yes. They’re designed to work with both and have a lifetime warranty regardless of what springs they’re paired with.

I've run my Koni yellows with both the stock springs and the Eibach Pro-Kit.

Both worked well.
