Hello all!
My first post after lurking for a few weeks.
I purchased a daily e90 lci 2011 because some a$$hat hit me head on in my e46 and totalled it.
I'm trying to make similar changes to the new ride that I did to the e46 but am stuck and cannot find enough info to complete a simple task.
Current inquiry: instructions on how to use stock angel eyes as the only del for my bimmer.
Current tools:
Bimmercode paid and veepeak 4.0 Bluetooth adapter.
Other obstacles: will be installing led lux (on hand) led angel eyes on my halogen equipped BMW.
I just replaced the frm3 that was bricked.
I'm able to access the module and have changed parking lights/us other del but am not able to turn off the low beams as drl.
I've read conflicting information without any tutorials on how to do this.
I can access expert mode in the bimmercode app but am unable to finch where in the frm the change dela to angel eyes from high or low beam.
The car was a Frankenstein and I've slowly brought it back to everything functioning properly and how I want it.
The frm is stuck on active only (no option to deactivate) led check on taillights or high beams (although I will swap those out next for led) even though it was supposedly matched to vin..
Where in expert settings (under what category) can I findVERHALTEN_DRL_TFLdrl_s active etc. to make this happen?

I wonder if this is ad nauseam or never solved because I clearly can't find the answer anywhere.
Seems like it is easy bimmercode expert but impossible to find anywhere.

Does anyone have a trace file for US/Canada E90 lca xdrive with halogens that has just angel eyes for drl (no high/low beam, turn or taillights on)?
I'd appreciate it.

...now I've changed something and have no drls. The headlights only come on when parked in the garage in auto position.

I at least got the Lux v4's in even though I'm unable to code drl without one of the headlights.
I've seen online that it can be done but since no instructions, I don't believe it's possible on lci e90 with halogens..

...maybe this forum is dead, I dunno.
My side markers didn't work before all of this and so I coded checks to be turned off for led swap and installed. Still don't work.
I don't get any codes for them and the rear and front corners blink.
The side markers are both dead. It must be related to coding but no response here.
If I don't hear anything from anyone I guess I'll go to another forum.
No blinkers at all on the side markers/fender light.

Are the fender lights turn signals or side markers?
I see them referred to as both.
Also, would this be the correct code (opposite to turn on) "side markers"?

...still no "side marker" fender lights.
I was however able to toggle on low beam drl on low setting and or EU both low and high beam but still no angel eyes no matter what I try.
I did turn on rear LEDs as drl just to see if it worked and it did.
Down to marker lights (dead no matter what but I haven't try Hazzard) and angel eye drl.
Angel eyes work when it's dark.

Angel eyes don't work at all now...I didn't change anything...I guess both frm3's back to the shop....ugh

Woah, this is so whacked. I think this car is possessed.
The angel eyes are working again as parking lights but not as programmed. I guess I'll have to talk to bimmercode.
I can turn off car and push turn signal full on for a few seconds on both sides of the car and the angel eyes come on.
Wtf?

Thank you to the gent from Toronto that suggested I get a similar code file to my car. Hopefully someone might provide it.
I guess I could post the last 7 of the vin. NN29804
I will be sending the bricked frm3 to the company that sold the refurbished based on my vin that seems to have different code as I am able to change code but not get the result I am looking for or what the car (that was purchased a month ago was coded like), unbrick it then copy the code for my backup that is in the car (refurbished).
Maybe this will solve the issues.
I still do not have side /fender markers in any capacity so I'm looking for pin outputs/locations for me lci E90 for the fender lights to see if anything is actually being sent to them.
If neither frm3 works and I'm not able to find a coder that can make these changes I'll hard wire the side markers to the front halogen corners and be done with it.
I hope to have my angel eyes back as DRL's with the frm3 changes but who knows since they do work as parking lights but nothing else (no drl or at night).
I have only 3 codes showing (one for airbag (not attached), one for rain sensor and another for the headlight actuator that I'm not concerned about now).
All other codes have been wiped and so not come back.
Finally, this weekend I'll swap out led brake/tails and maybe fog lights that I have already turned of light checks for.
Any input is appreciated as I'm burned out talking to folks/coders and searching the forum and posting without feedback.

No luck yet.
My original frm3 is expected this week factory reflashed.
I was able to return everything back to original except the AE's don't work at all now (I don't have the side parking light option either when car is off at night and you turn the left stalk.
The fender markers still don't work at all either.
I've retired coding to turn Angela as DRL's as well. It says they are in bimmercode but they don't illuminate.

Just installed them coded the OEM reflashed frm3. Everything is working as it should.
