Wow that things sounds really really good. It would be a bit loud for me and my neighbors would hate me but i love that high pitch exotic sound. I wonder if this exhaust with the oem secondary cats in place would still sound good. I wonder if it would just tone it down a bit. I am looking into exhaust set ups to go with AA headers but it is quite overwhelming with all the different combos to get what you want by searching for videos.

I felt like sharing my N52 'build' with some people who may appreciate it. It put down 242whp/229wtq on the Dyno in current spec with the following mods:
  • Active Autowerke catless headers
  • 3 stage intake manifold
  • BPC header/3SIM tune
  • Laptorr header back exhaust
  • Turner Motorsport intake

It's pretty loud with headers and no cats at WOT, with a lot of rasp between 2k and 2.3k RPMs so I may try to address that with a different resonator. Overall I'm really pleased with it.

I hope you guys like it!

Cheers.
Where did you acquire that exhaust setup? I think I want to ditch my quad tips for this... I NEED that sound.

Thanks!

Have you posted dyno #'s?

After watching the video to the end which I hadn't done so previously, I seen you strapped in and just wondered how the numbers looked if you feel like sharing.

Thanks!

My bad....nice numbers. I'm on the 128i side most of the time, but traffic is higher over here and I like to read on the 3 Series side. Can't believe that I missed that.

They really should have just made forums for "N52" "n54" etc. instead of breaking them down by individual chassis.

That would have been nice as I have to come over here for most of my N52 information.

Like this morning I was on the 128i side, and someone mentioned possible exhaust cam...so here I am over here again!

I just ordered Laptorr Sport, not sure if I should try to DIY the installation or go to a muffler shop.

[QUOTE=tang219;31336298]I just ordered Laptorr Sport, not sure if I should try to DIY the installation or go to a muffler shop.

I highly recommend going to a shop. If your bolts have never been turned, they'll be seized. This was the case for me. Shop had to cut and drill out bolts.

Be sure to post updates! I'm curious if I should have ordered sport instead of comfort for my e91. As a daily, I didn't want it to be too loud so I went with comfort but sometimes when stomp on it, I wish it was louder.
