Electric Streering Wheel is not working
Hello. I have a 2008 BMW E92 320D. Not long ago I had a problem with the electric power steering. At first, it was showing an error with a yellow role and exclamation mark, and now even without this error, the steering rack does not work. Diagnostics show that there is no connection with the steering rack, the car simply does not see it. Sometimes it turns on for a while and then stops working again.
I read on the internet that this is a common problem with these models. A sensor or control unit/motor is out of order. It's not a problem to buy a new sensor. But is it possible to install the control unit from a right-hand drive car to a left-hand drive car? It's just that there are a lot of parts for right-hand drive cars on sale. The electrician advises looking for a refurbished steering rack, but it is quite expensive. Maybe someone had a similar problem and how did you solve it? |

the control unit is inside rack
the connector is germetically isolated but sometime the water damage it and rack control unit so it will any way require rack removal, disassembly, repair and later may also require servotronic activation
