Is the hose supposed to be like this?
I have high oil consumption im not sure if this is the cause.
Blowing and sucking from either side is the same.

I haven’t replaced mine so I am not sure. Did you replace your PCV valve to seeif helps tou oil consumption?

I did replace the pcv valve with RBs PCV valve it helped for a while but i think with my mileage i may need a external pcv upgrade.

When i tested mine when it was new, there was a slight sucking restriction on one side.
If yours have no restriction at all on both side, your pcv system will not be able to make good vacuum
