automatic transmission oil
Hi all. I recently bought a 2010 BMW 328i E90 with 70k miles and am going to change all the oil
Red Line 5w40 for the engine, Red Line 75w-90 for the differential. I also want to change the oil in the automatic transmission but I don't know which one is right. I am choosing between Red Line D4 ATF and Red Line D6 ATF. Does anyone have any experience with it? Last edited by Wind90; 09-08-2024 at 07:54 PM.. |

Do you have a GM transmission or ZF transmission?
If you have a GM transmission then a Dexron 6 fluid is what you want (Red Line D6 in your poll, others are out there of course). If you have a ZF transmission then you'd need ZF Lifeguard 6.
