This is exactly what it looks like when a vc is completely backed up or someone hooks their aftermarket pcv system up wrong.

Having a crack could affect the pressure removal as well but that's not what the main issue is.

My car smoked like a freight train if it sat and idled more than a minute, not quite as bad as this. But enough to not see behind me. Replaced the valve cover and it's never been an issue since.

Could it be something else? Sure. But having a properly functioning factory pcv is first step. A bunch of band aid catch cans definitely is not. Did the car smoke like this when new? No? Then it doesn't need a fuck ton of reengineered parts not to, it just needs whatever is broken to be fixed.
my car is doing the same, only does it once it’s fully warmed up. i know it’s my valve cover just waiting for to it to come in. i’m probably gonna make a youtube video out of this because this seems to be a common issue.

Yeah most likely VCG leaking oil. Check your spark plugs for oil in them. Im almost certain these are soaked in oil therefore the smoke.

yessir i know it’s that as well. i will come back with a update this weekend once install my gasket

Let me share my experience…

I remember when I replaced my spark plugs in my N52 engine E90 like 10 yrs ago. Valve cover has a few broken bolts and gasket still now today lol . No codes no misfires for many years and still running smooth believe or not 😂. Go N52!! I just monitor the oil level and add 1 quart ever month or so. Well My plugs were badly soaked in oil, installed the new ones and when I started the car I was like WTF!! 😳 My garage got full of white smog for the first couple of minutes until the oil got burned off I guess and smoke stopped.

I know I have been procrastinating to change jy VCG but other than oil smell and adding oil all is good. I do have a frend who has a shop at his house who can do the VCG and oil pan for about 1k which is a great price but oh wel not sure if it’s worth it on a 19 yr old car. Still love to drive it. Its my daily driver car. 🤔😊 cheers 🍻
