idrive system and compatibility

Hi,

I swapped a cic idrive system that I got for free into my 2011 335i. My car has the brushed aluminum trim without the cic controller cutout. Is there a way to modify it to fit the cic controller or get an aftermarket controller to work and talk on the can network? (like the ones the cut in dash use and they provide a bezel to fit their controller but I could rewire if possible?)

On another question I have is I only swapped over the idrive dash, screen, headunit, screen connector with power/can, pink cable, usb glovebox module, and its white cable. I was able to use NCS Expert to code the cic module to my cars VO and everything is working except Navigation which I have to generate my FSC codes and files for another time. My friends car which I took the system from might have a combox in there since I was able to see bluetooth and connected drive apps in the cic before coding it. Would it be worth it to transfer the combox over and bluetooth over? Do I also need to transfer the usb aux also for the combox to work perfectly?I'm just trying to get bluetooth on the idrive system without using the aux input.
