E93 alarm system module locations.
Does anyone know where the main alarm system module and interior motion sensors are located on an e93?
My e93 is pre wired for an alarm system. I want to pull the alarm system from another e93 but Im not sure whats needed. I have the hood switch and siren. I have an alarm module/motion detector from an e90, but I dont think it will work. Thanks.

From memory i think the e93 is completely different. It uses microwave sensors in the front doors and rear interior side panels, but the e90 uses a ultrasonic motion detector in the roof. The alarm siren module is located above the L/R wheel.

Thanks.
Yea I remember reading it was different and there was sensors behind the panels. So a total of 4 sensors behind those 4 panels. I know the siren is in the left rear wheel well, but so is the actual module? I think the e90 module was part of the motion detector in the dome lights. |

Ive actually considered using the E93 / E64 module in my E90 as its not prewired for alarm - considered mounting it in the trunk and tapping into the KCAN currently used by the BMW Assist portion in the Combox. Anyway, its in the alarm siren. Cross references with the E64 (6 series convertible). |

Ahh, I see now.
Looking at a photo of one on eBay, I see the siren has 6 wires on the siren and not 2 wires like the other e9x. Thanks to both of you. |
