Broken Fuel Line Connector To Fuel Pressure Regulator

Started smelling fuel on driver's side and ended up finding a small pool on top of and around the fuel pressure regulator. Ordered a new FPR, and went to replace it tonight and the connector end on the fuel line that goes into the FPR is broken. I'm thinking it's this part number, 16127172162. Would like confirmation. Also, has anyone ever replaced it? Are there options to modify the line and add a new end? How does the line route? Please don't tell me I have to drop the tank.
