M3 seat swap help
I have a 2013 E92 335i with non heated comfort seats and I am going to be swapping in 2013 E92 M3 seats and door cards with the M3 speakers. I believe I have the Hi Fi system currently, I have tweeters in the front doors and only 1 speaker per side the in the rear.
I have read a bunch of posts on this and I’m just flat out confused at this point with all the conflicting information I’ve read, Im hoping you guys can clear some things up. As for the seats, I am wondering if they will be plug and play or if I’ll run into any issues with the pins being different on the connectors. I don’t care if the heated seat function doesn’t work, but I just want to know if the connector will plug in or if it’ll be entirely different since I think the M3 seats are heated. Also wondering if any coding will be needed. As for the speakers, will the M3 speakers connect to the factory wiring harness for HI FI system? Since I only have 1 speaker each side in the rear currently and M3 has 2? If the speakers end up being plug and play, will the 335 head unit with i drive even be able to power the M3 speakers effectively? |

Well, regarding the speakers, I think it works because the second speaker is a tweeter and it connects directly to the main speaker.
Regarding the seats, the plug is exactly the same on both the e92 and the m3. Extras such as heating will not work because the main harness have not some cables to make it work. |
