2009 E93 Fog Light Conversion
I am a second owner of a 2009 328i convertible that had some body damage when I got it, but only 20K miles on it. I replaced the front fender and front bumper with an M sport bumper and want to change the fog lights to LED.
This is my first BMW and I am looking for help and advice. What do I need to do to change the fog light bulbs? I read some other threads that codes might need to be changed? So far the H11 LED bulbs I bought on eBay motors don’t fit in the housing. Are the H11 LEDs wrong or Am I supposed to be searching for a different type? Finally are there any specific tools or diagnostic equipment I should buy to help me work on the car? Thank you in advance. |

If you want an easy to use diagnostic setup; then I suggest Protool by BimmerGeeks.
It's an Android app. I also suggest buying their cable. The cable will come in handy if you decide to do more hard core stuff like updating modules and flashing engine tune etc. Protool doesn't do module/firmware update nor any kind of flashing. But for diagnostics, retrofits (99%) and coding; it's the best out there. No idea about the fog light situation, sorry. |
