MSV80 tuning
Hey guys,
I'm working on making N52 (MSV80) tuning. Who has experience on tuning exhaust headers? Btw I got rev limit, afr, timing, 90C coolant temp, burble, linear throttle working. Our cars are equipped with 2x wideband and maf, which should actually adapt to any mods. So it works on closed loop when WOT, and it works by targeting AFR. Basically I'm trying to understand what people mean by "get a tune for headers" So most probably it's VANOS tuning to decrease "valve overlap", to compensate lower backpressure. If anyone has some info, please share. P.S. I know that o2 are relocated, which makes delay in afr reading, just curious how afr is affected, and any technics to fix it. |

The N52 running the MSV80 is the same as the N52 MSV70 version. Different processor but most of the maps are the same, just byte swapped and relocated. This is important as 90% of what you need to learn about the N52 tuning has already been discussed in the " I cloned my MSV70" thread started by Hassmachine.
Warning: it not a quick read and sometimes it's off topic but there is a wealth of information. You certainly need to understand the following: Soft limiters, Disa and Valvetronic ignition maps fueling vanos expected air flow Target torque o2 sensor location and delay adjustment Valvetronic settings at full load Disa maps and more |

I have found a2l of msv70 (730 software), but i'm not able to find a dump for that version.. is there definition + bin available for any msv70 version? that will actually help a lot |

I'm running the same msv80 on a 6spd MT with FBO. Very interested when you have a tune ready. I would recommend dow loading the 330i from bimmerlabs website and using that as your base file. I also a couple AA tunes I can share if you need a file but may not work due to the file/vin lock.

Hey rjahl hey you still got those files for the Msv70 I am currently look for xdf and bin files for the msv70 and msv70. If anyone has files for them plz send!I would love to work on my own tune for my n52 but can’t find xdf or tuned bins for msv80. At least the msv70 would be a great staring point. Thanks!
