E92 M3 speaker swap help

I have a 2013 E92 335i with non heated comfort seats and I am going to be swapping in 2013 E92 M3 seats and door cards with the M3 speakers. I believe I have the Hi Fi system currently, I have tweeters in the front doors and only 1 speaker per side in the in the rear.

I have read a bunch of posts on this and I’m just flat out confused at this point with all the conflicting information I’ve read, Im hoping you guys can clear some things up.

As for the seats, I am wondering if they will be plug and play or if I’ll run into any issues with the pins being different on the connectors. I don’t care if the heated seat function doesn’t work, but I just want to know if the connector will plug in or if it’ll be entirely different since I think the M3 seats are heated. Also wondering if any coding will be needed.

As for the speakers, will the M3 speakers connect to the factory wiring harness for HI FI system? Since I only have 1 speaker each side in the rear currently and M3 has 2?

If the speakers end up being plug and play, will the 335 head unit with i drive even be able to power the M3 speakers effectively?

The back of the M3 speaker looks like it has 2 spots where a harness is supposed to connect. I see copper prongs in these two areas:

You have to think of this in term of what system it is not what car it comes from BMW uses the same three basic sound systems across all the there cars. (at least in the 5 series down and the equivalent x series.
The speaker are matched to the amplifier or lack of amplifier. Three basic system base, Hi Fi and Top Hi Fi aka Logic 7 and in rare cases the IA Individual Audio system .
If you can find a Vin Decoder that works look at the 6xx 7xx option's . 676 = Hi Fi 677,688= Logic 7 756= Individual audio
none of these indicates base audio .
Tweeter connection comes of the main speaker unless you have Individual Audio in which there is a real passive crossover in the door or next to the speakers that have tweeters I believe.

I’ve read through these before, I think based off those threads I have the Hifi system but I’m still not positive. I have tweeters in the front doors near the A pillars, and only 1 speaker per door card in the rear.

It looks to me like you have logic7. Regardless you should keep your current speakers as EPS speakers won’t sound good in either a hifi or a logic 7 car unless you swap the whole system. They’re all the same size so the best thing to do is just swap your existing speakers over to the new door cards

I only have 1 speaker in the rear door cards currently. My understanding is logic 7 has 2 each rear door card. I’m doing a full M3 interior swap and the M3 rear door cards have 2 speakers in them, so even if I wanted to swap over my existing speakers I’d be missing one for the new rear door cards.

Im still trying to figure this out. I read through all the threads Ctuna linked me, but I have no idea what I’m doing still. Audio systems are not my specialty to begin with, and then you factor in it’s a BMW audio system and I’m pretty lost.

Audio shops in my area won’t even touch it. They just wanna cut all the harnesses and put aftermarket speakers in because they don’t know factory bmw audio works either.

I appreciate all the threads you linked me but I’m still lost. There doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer when looking at those audio system diagrams for each model. For E92 it doesn’t make sense.

I work 75 hours a week as a medic and have only 1 day off. Just trying to figure out how I can get this done soon. The research time alone on this is killing me.

Just need to figure out what I need to buy to wire the new speakers to my existing harness. Or, if I don’t even need anything at all except just plug it in.

I appologize for my inexperience, but audio systems are my weakness.

I have Hifi. Confirmed with Mdecoder. S676 is my audio package. I want to swap in speakers from S677 package.

I tried reading the threads you linked me but am still unsure of the answers to my questions.

1- will my cars speaker wiring harness for S676 connect plug and play to S677 speakers? Or will I need adapters?

2- will my cars amp for S676 power S677 speakers?

Garage List
If Ive had the chance to do it nowadays again I would re-run speaker wires to any decent DSP 6 channel amp (plug and play Helix Match?) and call it a day after converting the whole system to 3 way active (ok, leave rear as a fill on stock system or go with an 8 channel amp if your budget allows).
