What is the scavenge fuel line? RealOEM link

Background
I've been reading up on the charcoal canister in order to fix an issue with the gas pump always clicking off after only a couple seconds. I found something weird while looking at the RealOEM diagram

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=16_0807

Questions
A. What is item #2 Scavenge air line?
B. What is that cylindrical object #2 connects to in the diagram?
C. What is the part number that connects the Charcoal canister to the Engine Intake?

Thoughts
The only other hose besides the fuel line going to the engine should be the hose connecting the "Purge Valve" to the Charcoal Canister where the vapors are stored. However, I've watched dozens of videos on the charcoal canister, and it looks nothing like the cylindrical object shown in the link above. That page (and also all the other versions of E9x) have that item greyed out. Un-clickable.
