It’s not uncommon (because of the 2 piece design) for them to start leaking vapor (due to the pressure and heat) where the top and bottom connect. It’s an extremely small leak at first.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try and pay attention to that area on my next test. for far I've started the car several times and let it idle. Let cars temp rise to around 101c and then shut off my car. Looked around and under the car, but no signs of leaks. The car must have run hotter than that to cause that leak I saw around that res, hoses area. I also have a coolant pressure tester. Im wondering if I should just pressurize the coolant system that way?
