How to address this hood gap

Have a 2011.5 e92 m3. deer jumped in front of car at 30mph. had to have front bumper replaced and wing. I initially thought he would replace the aluminum hood too, but he didn’t. he just bent it back into shape, resulting in there being a bigger front fender gap on one side of the hood. seriously some bad underbite, as well as gap. would the proper fix be to bring the front of the bumper forward and up? I don’t know if I should bring the hood down any further, as it is already in line with the wings fairly nicely.

best,
cd

Its hard to tell with the shadows but could be lined up better. The hood protrudes too far or bumper is pushed in too much or a combination of both.

Any chance to bring it back to the repair shop if money was exchanged especially if it was an insurance job.

unfortunately it was a cash job. just wondering how much of a hassle it is to bring the front bumper forwards a bit.

I think some of the gap is caused by the fact that he wasnt able to bend the hood perfectly back to oem spec after the deer collision.

because of this, you can see I also have a WTB post up for a white carbon hood .

thanks for the reply

Difficult to assess without seeing the damage to the hood. But that should be corrected by the shop, or you should have gotten a new hood.

If memory serves me, there are bumpers on each side of the engine bay that allow you to adjust vertically. I needed to make a couple adjustments when I installed the new fenders, the bumper, fenders and hood may need some adjustments so the gaps line up correctly.
