And so it begins...

Zero drama on the actual removal. Maybe two hours working slowly. I removed the front headrests, moved the seats all the way forward, played with the tilt and dropped the seat backs all the way down to get some good clearance. The rear lower seat cushion was already out to pull the door gaskets, so the headliner went right out the back door with just a little bit of wiggling.

I discovered the M Sport one is missing the rear retaining clip so yanked it from the old one and am gluing it on overnight. Oh, it's also missing the alarm wiring so I'll swap that out as well. Wasn't expecting that job but pretty minor.

Sunroof has been easy so far. Just followed the Lucky Needle's instructions and it's back in place with just a loose fit. Fingers crossed it's easy to center! Will report back with my findings!

Bro we must be living parallel lives on opposite sides of the country. Got all my parts removed except the headliner hanging by it's front and center clips. Got too tired of doing car yoga to try pulling out tonight, really don't want to bend it in half because I can't lift my arm anymore. Tomorrow morning it comes out.

Have a cold one w/ me pal we earned it

It'll come out the back door easy, just take your time.

Prost (not my pic, but representative of what I had)!!!

Replaced the faulty SMC II unit on the right side headlight assembly. No more annoying error light on the console, and she's no longer cross-eyed!

Cheers!

I'm down to sunroof adjust (it's throwing errors) and the visors which I may have messed up. Was trying to remove the ugly warning stickers and now made a horrific mess on :-/ Might have to just paint over the whole thing if I can't get any better than this. Any suggestions?

Coming together nice! What have you tried to remove the sticker residue? I've been having luck on other parts of the car with Goo Gone (The Pro Power safe for surfaces version that smells like orange). Steam might also help. I was also contemplating trying to remove the stickers for the "euro visor" look, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Also contemplating moving to the vinyl LCI visors on 325i, as the fabric has seen better days and I've found the vinyl visors seem to adjust further outward than the fabric ones.

I used rubbing alcohol to get them off. Worked decently, but you can sure see the residue. After getting stuck with what you see above, I went ahead and sprayed it with some Duplicolor vinyl/fabric flat black, and believe it came out great! Not 100% Euro, but pretty damn good!

And yes, the LCI visors flip up to a much better angle, so happy about that bonus!!! I'm just letting them air out, then I'll be done!

Looks great bro! I got mine out, I had Mrs. 3P hold the back end up while I unclipped it. It slipped out the back door just like you said. Wish I had a snazzy Msport replacement ready to go in, but I don't so mine will take a trip to the upholstery shop on Monday.

And the saga ends! 100% in place and everything looking good! I had to re-use my sunvisor clips and vanity lights, so just painted them and will hope for the best over time. I can buy some if the paint starts coming off. Otherwise a straightforward install. Sunroof took a little bit of work to get adjusted just right, but is good to go. Overall the job took most of the day, but with lots of breaks. So maybe 3-4 hours if working straight. Probably less. No real words of wisdom, just that it's not too hard if you can source the parts. Interior looks fantastic as I never cared for the gray with the black interior. Just need a M Sport steering wheel to finish it off! Pure vanity as I think my steering wheel is great, but I am a completist!
