If the G80 ends production early 2027, does that mean we’ll get the next gen M3 that same year?

Hello,

With the G80 ending production in February 2027, does that mean the next generation M3 will launch in 2028 as a MY29?

I’m a dope, so please humor me:

M2 with XDrive for 2026, but NOT as a “CS” correct?

I had it in my head for some reason that if M2 was going to have XDrive it would have to be a CS model

Edit: read some older post and this appears to be the case… never mind

I greatly look forward to 2028 and the next round of M3 and M4 (if the M4 exists then). If I don't like that model either, it's likely the end of my BMW run after 25+ years. I hope the new design team creates a nice-looking car again.
