2011 e90 ect
So today i was driving from work, i usually let the car’s rpms drop when i first get in and for the first 10-15 mins i drive pretty slow letting the engine warm up, sometimes on a clear road i tend to step on it like today, i hit around maybe 85-90, so when i got home i js decided to run the obd scanner check under the hood and stuff js make sure everything was fine this is my first car and first bmw 138k miles, anyway usually the temperature runs really low like im taking 89-91 celsius but after i got home the 2 min speeding i ran the obd and saw the temperature at 99c or 217 fahrenheit if im correct idk, i’ve seen on here a lot of people say that the cars usually run at like 210-220 f so between 98-100c and i’ve js always wondered why mine might be so low, i took it to a bmw mechanic and they gave me a quote of 963 dollars that my electric pump might be bad and throw a code (the car has never overheated the opposite it’s a little under temperature) can anyone give some insights, thanks!

Ok so first lets clarify, you are talking about coolant temps correct, not oil temps?
Normal water temps are from 200-220F Normal oil temps are like 220-260F |
