BMW 335i not starting, dash light flickering,

Starting only with jumper!Jump started the car and took for highway drive to recharge the battery (atleast a little bit), unfortunately after driving around 4-5 miles got warning message about "Engine too hot" so I stopped the car immediately and get it towed to my home. At home I again jump started the car and tried to park in my garage but this time I got warning message "transmission malfunctioning" and I feel some jerk while parking the car. Not sure if it is just software malfunctioning OR something really happened to the vehicle.

Question how old is your battery? The battery may not be holding charge & when its really low your car will throw all sorts of codes... if you have multimeter you could also check & see if the alternator is working.

Bad battery or bad alternator regulator/alternator. Check them both. Mine was overcharging and throwing all kinds of codes and transmission faults.
