Replacing Boots on Axles
Hey Folks! I need an assist here. Has anyone replaced the driver side outer axle boot? I bought this kit here - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...kn-31607549468
It came with more clamps than needed. Anyone have any idea why? It came with 2 different style big clamps. My best guess is I need to disasemmble the whole axle? Anyone have any tips for that? The axle is perfectly fine, I just ripped the boot when I was pulling the axle to do my oil pan. Car is a e90 335xi Edit: Just noticed I posted in the N54 section instead of the Xdrive. My apologies! Yep. It's not a hard job...just a messy one that takes a little time.
